KATHLEEN A. (O'CONNOR) DIMEGLIO
AGE: 47 SOUTH PLAINFIELD
Kathleen A. (O'Connor) DiMeglio, 47, of South Plainfield died peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, March 16, 2009 at Haven Hospice located within JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born and raised in Staten Island, she moved to South Plainfield in 1983. She graduated from the Katharine Gibbs School in Manhattan, she also attended Pace University and Middlesex County College. Kathleen has been employed by the South Plainfield Board of Education as the administrative assistant for Special Services Department.
Kathleen was a devoted wife and mother. She was also a well known individual who has been active volunteering and serving to better the boro of South Plainfield for many years. She has been serving on the Traffic Safety Advisory Commission and was often in attendance at the meetings of the Board of Education and Mayor and Council. She also served as the president of Franklin School PTA and a member of Ponytail Softball, as well as, being a communicant of Sacred Heart RC Church in South Plainfield. Kathleen was an avid reader. She also enjoyed spending time cooking, cross stitching and crocheting.
Predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Josephine O'Connor. Kathleen leaves behind her beloved husband, Michael; her two loving daughters, Denise M. and Allison C. DiMeglio and by her sister, Christine Macchia.
Funeral Services will take place on Friday, March 20, 2009 beginning at 9:15 a.m. in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080. (www.mccriskinfuneralhome.com) followed by a 10:00 a.m. funeral mass at Sacred Heart RC Church in South Plainfield. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains. Visitation will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 from 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday, March 19, 2009 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, 2600 US Highway 1, North Brunswick, NJ 08902 would be deeply appreciated.

I am so sad to hear of the untimely loss of someone so special...your Mom. I am thinking of you, your sister and your dear father and hoping that you find comfort in knowing that so many people care about you and your family.
