Plainfield - Kim Duhart, 62 of Plainfield, NJ transitioned this life on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at home. Born in Newark, NJ and formerly of Vauxhall, Kim was educated in the Plainfield school system and graduated from Plainfield High School in 1977.

Kim went on to become a certified nurses' assistant and did private duty nursing for more than 20 years. Her specialty was caring for Alzheimer's patients. She also was employed by Potomac Homes/Brighton Gardens. Kim also took on a leadership position and served as the President of Narcotics Anonymous (NA) in Plainfield.

Kim was a member and soloist for the Mount Olive Baptist Church Youth Choir, in Plainfield.

In Kim's spare time she enjoyed gardening and loved to purchase "scratch-offs", looking for the big win.

Predeceased by her father, John Duhart, paternal grand-parents, Herman and Eunice Duhart, maternal grand-parents, Hutchinson and Nellie Hart, Kim is survived by her beloved son, Ian J. Duhart, mother, Marion Duhart, sisters, Barbara Jackson, Cynthia Duhart and Stacey Duhart, one aunt, Loretta Hart, one uncle, Richard Jackson, two nieces, Tori Black and Tracey Duhart, one nephew, Michael Black, Jr., two great-nieces, Briante Mauldin and Michaela Mauldin and a host of extended family and friends.

A walk-through viewing will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021 9:00 am-11:00 am at Judkins Colonial Home, 428 W. 4th Street, Plainfield followed by a private funeral service.
