Lawrence Stroff Obituary
AGE: 43 • Hillsborough
Lawrence M. Stroff, 43, of Hillsborough, passed away peacefully, Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. Cancer robbed him of time, but during his 10 year battle it was never able to steal his dignity, grace, or love of life. He was an avid outdoor enthusiast. His passion lied in hunting and fishing. He was best known for his bright smile, his goofy, crazy sense of humor, and his unrelenting spirit. He was an inspiration to all who knew him. Lawrence was born in Passaic, lived in Wallington most of his life moving to Hillsborough 8 years ago. He was a 1987 graduate of St. Mary's High School in Rutherford. Lawrence was a Pharmaceutical Operator for Hoffman LaRoche in Nutley from 1997 to 2006. Previously he was a registered guide for white water rafting and deer hunting at the Northern Outdoors in The Forks, Maine, between 1994 and 1997. He was a proud member of the N.R.A.
Lawrence was the beloved husband of Laurel (Dalessio), loving son of Sally (Devins) Stroff of Suffern, NY, and the late John M. Stroff, Sr., dear brother of Susan Giella, and her husband John, of Suffern, NY, John M. Stroff, Jr., of Oswego, NY, Michael Stroff, and his wife Debra, of Hoboken, Christina McGuigan, and her husband Chris, of Rumson, and Sally Ann Cimmino, and her husband Daniel, of Arlington, VA. Lawrence was also loved by his 12 nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral Thursday, 9:30 AM, from the Kamienski Funeral Home, 106 Locust Avenue, Wallington, and 10:00 AM at the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus R.C. Church, Wallington. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook. Visiting Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Hunterdon Healthcare Hospice, 2100 Wescott Drive, Flemington, N.J. 08822 OR Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, PCAN of NJ, 1500 Rosecrans Avenue, Suite 200, Manhattan Beach, CA. 90266, in memory of Lawrence M. Stroff, would be appreciated.
