Mr Addison was my history teacher at Florence Ave School in Irvington in early 1960´s. He was THE best! To this day I remember the battle plan for the battle of Quebec. I spoke of him as I toured the plains of Abraham last spring.
Brought back many fond memories of Mr Addison and the love of history I have to this day.
I thought you would enjoy this memory. My condolences to the family. You´ve lost a gem.

Mr. Addison was my History teacher at Florence Ave. School. I am now 72 years old and still remember him as an excellent role model and dedicated teacher. That is the mark he left on students like me. There were many things that I did not know about him until reading this obituary. He will be missed and the world is a better place having him in it.

Uncle Lew was a Wonderful Man. He was kind and always wanting to help people. He loved to talk to everyone. He would start up a conversation and would end up being friends afterwards. I truly miss our daily phone calls and our hugs we gave before the Covid. RIP my Beloved

So sorry the hear of his passing. He was my homeroom teacher in Florence as well as a great history teacher. I truly credit him for my love of history and with that my 35+ years in doing genealogy/family history research. My thoughts and prays are with his family and friends.
