AGE: 39 • South Amboy
Lisa E. Ryan Vega, 39, of South Amboy died on Tuesday March 29, 2016 at Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center, Edison after an 8 year battle with cancer. Born in South Amboy she lived there all her life. After earning an Associate's Degree from Brookdale Community College, she worked for Louise Paris in Manhattan for 11 years. She loved trips to Aruba and Atlantic City and cheerleading with her daughter Arianna.
Daughter of the late Robert W. "Smokey" Ryan, she is also predeceased by her stepfather Steven Malkiewicz. She is survived by her husband Roberto Vega, Jr.; her daughters Arianna and Joanne Vega; her mother Diana Heath Malkiewicz; her sister Krista Comitini and her husband Chris; her stepbrother Glen Malkiewicz and his wife Mary; her stepsisters Coleen Kane and her husband Bill and Marlene Thomson and her husband Robert; her nephew Connor; her nieces Kelli and Courtney; her mother and father-in-law Roberto, Sr. and Maria Vega and her brothers-in-law William and Antonio Vega.
Funeral services will be held on Friday April 1, 2016 at 8pm at The Gundrum Service "Home For Funerals" 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
