LURETHIA KIAH
AGE: 74 SCOTCH PLAINS
Lurethia Kiah, 74, died Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2010 in Overlook Hospital, Summit. Born in Birmingham, Ala., she lived 43 years in Plainfield before moving to Scotch Plains. She was employed with Muhlenberg Hospital as a licensed practical nurse for 36 years retiring in 1994. She was a former member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and at the time of her death a member of Calvary Baptist Church both in Plainfield.
She was predeceased by her husband, Samuel Kiah in 1992; a son, Anthony McGhee; a sister, Jean Bradford; two brothers, Charles and Julius Powell. Surviving are three sons, Timothy Kiah of Tempe, AZ, Keith Kiah of Princeton and Jonathan McGhee of Plainfield; two grandsons, Phillip and Jonathan McGhee, Jr.; one granddaughter, LaToya McGhee; one sister, Marjorie Waites of Plainfield and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service Mon. 12noon in Brown's Funeral Home, 122 Plainfield Ave., Plainfield. There is no viewing. Condolences may be expressed at brownsfuneralhome.net.
