MARY MASI
AGE: 89 RARITAN
Mary Masi, 89, died on May 20, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Staten Island, NY on June 6, 1920 to her loving parents Robert and Elizabeth McDermott Murtagh. Mary was a Secretary for the Middlesex County Juvenile Detention Facility in North Brunswick, NJ for over (24) years. She was a devoted wife; loving mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mary was a member of the Raritan Senior Citizens. She was a kind, caring, generous person, who will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Mary was dedicated to her family who was her life. She never said an unkind word about anyone.
Mary is survived by her loving children, Douglas and wife Stephanie Masi, DMD of Branchburg, NJ, Diane and husband John Loyer of Hopatcong, NJ; her sister, Elizabeth Taroni of Long Island, NY; her brother-in-law, William Thomas; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Francis Masi (May 8, 2010); and two brothers, Gerald and Robert Murtagh.
Viewing will be held on Sunday, May 23, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the Bongiovi Funeral Home, LLC, 416 Bell Avenue, Raritan, NJ 08869 (908-725-1887). Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 24, 2010 starting with a visitation at the Funeral Home from 8:00 to 9:00 am followed by a 9:30 am Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 16 East Somerset Street, Raritan, NJ 08869. Mary will be buried along with her beloved husband, Francis at St. Bernard's Cemetery, 551 State Highway No. 28, Bridgewater, NJ 08807.
