MARY VAN NESS
AGE: 80 TOMS RIVER
Mary Van Ness, 80, died on Sunday, April 26, 2009 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in Archbald, PA she was a resident of Old Bridge before retiring to Toms River. She spent her retirement reading, cooking, and tending to her garden. She was a devoted mother and wife.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Donald; Three daughters, Michele Hogan of Edison, Debra and her husband David Foote of Canon, GA and Denise Julius of Brighton, CO. She also leaves behind a sister, Natalie Pezak of Archbald, PA. Five grandchildren, Carrie Van Ness of Highland Park, Christopher and his wife Nicole Van Ness of Collegeville, PA, Kori and her husband Patrick Scalzo of Canon, GA, Nicole Foote-White of Milledgeville, GA and Vaughn Julius, Jr. of Brighton, CO; four great-grandchildren Riley and Peter Van Ness of Collegeville, PA, Tyler and Sophia Scalzo of Canon, GA; as well as several great-grand dogs.
At her wishes cremation has taken place. Those desiring to make contributions in her honor may do so to the Alzheimer's Association at ALZ.org or Alzheimer's Association, Greater NJ Chapter, 400 Morris Avenue, Suite 251, Denville NJ 07834. Arrangements by Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, Toms River.
