Dr. Michael B. Scotti, 61, of Denville, formerly Florham Park, NJ, died suddenly on January 13, 2014. He had an oral surgery practice in Denville for 31 years. He graduated from Hanover Park High School, the University of Maryland and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ. He completed his residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Anesthesia at Jersey City Medical Center, Newark, NJ.

He was an oral surgery consultant at Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital, Morris Plains, and was affiliated with St. Clare's Hospital, Denville, NJ. He was a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, New Jersey Dental Association and New Jersey Dental Society of Anesthesiology. Dr. Scotti's professional appointments included Director of Dental Residency Program at Northwest Covenant Medical Center, Denville, Chairman of the Dental Department at Dover General Hospital, Dover, NJ and Chairman of the Dental Department, St. Clare's Hospital. He participated in Dentistry from the Heart and St. Clare's Harvest Fest.

He devoted his life to his wife and family, loved God and enjoyed the Jersey shore. He was very much loved and respected by all who knew him. He was a loving husband, son, brother, uncle, and a loyal friend. He was predeceased by his father, Dr. Daniel C. Scotti.

Michael grew up in Florham Park and was chosen as the first king of the Florham Park 4th of July parade in 1958. He was an avid Giants and Yankees fan and attended almost every Giants home game.

He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Kimberly A. Lacz Scotti; mother Marie "Chickie" Mauriello Scotti, five siblings, RoseAnne Georgiades, her husband Konstantine, Daniel C. Scotti, Jr., his wife Laura, MaryEllen Gibbon, her husband Ted, Angela Goodwin, her husband Darren, and John Scotti and 23 loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation is at Leonardis Memorial Home, 210 Ridgedale Ave., Florham Park, on Friday from 4-8pm. Funeral on Saturday assembling at 9am followed by a mass at St. Mary's Church, 15 Myers Ave., Denville, NJ at 10am. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made in memory of Dr. Michael B.
