Miklos Nemeth

AGE: 77 • Lakewood

Miklos Nemeth, 77, of Lakewood, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, and gave the gift of life through tissue donation. Miklos was born in Zalaegerseg, Hungary, attending St. Benedict's Pannonhalma Boarding School in Hungary. Mr. Nemeth came to the United States in 1956 during the Hungarian Revolution; which he took part in. A former longtime North Jersey resident, he has resided in South Jersey for the past 30 years, most recently residing in Lakewood. Miklos played professional soccer with the New York Hungarians Soccer League, he enjoyed snow and water skiing, and was also a water skiing instructor. Miklos was proud to be an American citizen, still always having a love and connection to his family and his home country of Hungary.

Surviving are his loving children: daughter, Anna Fay and husband Joseph; son, Miklos Nemeth and partner Ted Ridlehuber; ex-wife and friend, Ginny; his dear siblings: sister, Maria Nemeth and brothers, Laszlo Nemeth, Gyorgy Nemeth, and Istvan Nemeth; his cherished grandchildren, Joey, Jack, and Declan; and his grand dog, Sassafrass and Bibi.

Memorial visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. today, Saturday, Jan. 5, with a prayer service at 4:30 p.m. at O'Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick.
