(Asbury Park Press)

MIRAN "RANA" CELMER
AGE: 60 WARETOWN
Miran "Rana" Celmer passed away at home with her family by her side Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010 after a very courageous and difficult battle against a rare cancer. Rana was born in Mason-city, Kyongnam, Korea. She met her loving and devoted husband, Philip, 34 years ago, while he was stationed at Osan Air Base Korea. They later moved to the states and she became a patriotic, naturalized citizen of America. Upon her husband's retirement in 1994 they settled in Waretown, NJ where the two of them built a home she helped design. During that time she graduated with honors from Richard Stockton College of New Jersey with a BS in Business Studies and shortly thereafter obtained her CPA certification. She was a dedicated employee at the accounting firm Thomas J. Whale & Company upon her death. She loved her job and cherished interacting with the firm's clients. Rana was also a homemaker who was an exceptional cook, loved her gardening and could never leave the house without it being clean. At home get-togethers with her many friends she especially loved to sing and dance Karaoke style.
She is survived by her beloved husband, retired USAF Colonel Philip R. Celmer and two children, Christina M. Celmer of Toms River, NJ, a PA at Shore Cardiology and Daniel P. Celmer and wife Karina also of Toms River; two step children, Jeanine M. Reilly and husband John and their children Jayden, Jianna and Juliet of Queens, NY and Philip V. Celmer and wife Jennifer and their son Jackson of Flemington, NJ; mother-in-law, Lucille B. Celmer of Tavernier FL; brother-in-law, Richard K. Celmer and daughters Carly and Candace of Tavernier, FL; sisters-in-law, Cyndy J. Tomasetti and husband Alan and their son Sean McCarthy of Jacksonville, FL and Marcie A. Celmer and son Robert Schroth of Tavernier FL.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 11 at 6pm at the Reformed Church at 62 Hance Avenue in Tinton Falls, NJ exit 109 off the GSP. In lieu of flowers, a small dish may be brought as refreshments will be available after the service at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Ocean County Cremation Service, 206 Lacey Road, Forked River, NJ.

Best Sister In Law, ever!
I hear her beautiful voice lilting in my head. I smell her amazing cooking wafting in the air. I feel the tremendous love she had for her family, in my heart. The laughter of her
of her keen wit almost stops my tears.
