My wish to offer my condolences to Nick's family. I had the pleasure of working with Nick at Permacel for over 17 years. I was fortunate enough to be his boss for for the last 10 of those years. Nick was one our top engineers. His skill and knowledge were greatly admired at Permacel and at Nitto Japan. Just two weeks ago when I was in Japan, the engineers there were asking about him, even though he had retired 10 years earlier. I learned a lot from Nick. I greatly admired his intellectual curiosity for all things and his professional approach to everything he did. On my many business trips with Nick I felt that I got to know him pretty well. I know that he had a wonderful and supportive family. He spoke highly of them frequently. I greatly regret losing touch with him after his retirement. I am very sorry to hear of his passing. this event has made me pause to think about all of the people I have lost touch with and how life is short and that each day is a gift.
May he rest in peace.
