Norma E. Durrua

AGE: 85 • Chadwick Beach

Norma E. Bahrenburg Durrua, 85, of Chadwick Beach, passed away Monday, July 27, 2015. Born at home in Holmdel to the late Elmer and Dorothy (Camp) Bahrenburg, she lived there and in Sayreville, residing in Chadwick Beach since 1990. Norma loved gardening, sewing, cooking, baking, and feeding people in general. She had been a longtime member of Saint John's United Methodist Church, Hazlet.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Willard Harold Durrua in July, 2001. Surviving are her sons, William Durrua of Chadwick Beach and Kenneth Durrua and his wife Lisa of Point Pleasant; and her daughter, Carolann Bialecki and her husband Steven of Wall. Also surviving are her sister, Elinor Schanck; brother, Elmer Bahrenburg, Jr. and his wife Karen; three grandchildren, Arielle, Matthew, and Rachel; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. & 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, July 30 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. At 10 a.m., Friday, July 31, a service will be held at the funeral home and followed by interment at Shoreland Memorial Gardens, Hazlet.
