Paige Aiello Obituary
Hillsborough
Paige Barrie Aiello of Hillsborough, NJ went missing on April 9, 2013 and was pronounced dead on May 8, 2013. Paige was born in Princeton, NJ on April 11, 1991. She attended all Hillsborough Public schools and graduated from Hillsborough High School with honors in 2009. She was captain of the varsity tennis team and was Editor in Chief of the HS Yearbook. Paige continued her studies at The College of New Jersey, where she graduated with honors earning a GPA of 3.68. She was a co-captain of the varsity tennis team and member of Lambda Pi Eta, which is The National Communication Association Honor Society, and a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Council. During her four years at college she was given an award for being a scholar athlete every semester as well as Dean's List. Upon graduation from TCNJ, Paige was expected to attend Rutgers School of Law in Newark, NJ. This is a moment in life that there are simply no words to truly describe this incredible young woman. A measure of a person is the effect and impact they had on others. Paige was loved by all and had a positive effect on everyone she touched. Paige was caring, honest, trustworthy and revered by her friends, classmates and teammates. She was a selfless individual who put the needs of others before her own. Paige participated in Locks of Love for victims of cancer. She enjoyed teaching young children tennis. The genuine enthusiasm and happiness of the children brought joy to Paige's heart. Paige's smile and laugh were contagious. During the search for Paige, the outpouring of the genuine human spirit of goodness would have moved her. It was as selfless as Paige was herself. People placed peach colored ribbons on their homes and businesses from our hometown to as far away as Korea and Australia. The ribbons reaffirmed the faith and the hope that she would return home safely. Prayer groups were formed all over New Jersey and the US in an attempt to collaboratively bring Paige home.
Paige is survived by thousands of people whom she touched, her parents Robin and Christopher, beloved sister Erin, her loving grandfathers George Aiello and Irving Sandler, Aunts Alyssa Aiello and Luanne Sisselman, Uncles Michael Natiello and Jay Sisselman and loved cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 20, 2013 at the Hillsborough Funeral Home located at 796 Route 206 South, Hillsborough, NJ from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-9:00 p.m. All that have known Paige or have been affected by Paige's story are welcomed to attend a celebration of Paige's life at the Unitarian Church, located at 4 Waldron Avenue, Summit, NJ at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2013 followed by a funeral at the Fairview Cemetery in Westfield. Donations may be made to Bianca's Kids at www.biancaskids.org or to the Out of The Darkness Organization at www.afsp.org.

Paige will always be part of the HHS tennis family. She was important to all of us, even the new players that unfortunately missed the chance to know her personally. She has taught many of us at Raider Tennis Camp and we will never forget her. <3

I am so sad to read this story and the tragic outcome. We are so fortunate since we were able to save our son after his suicide attempt by rushing him to Princeton Medical Center over a year ago, and that journey continues today. You have lost a precious and outstanding person. Our prayers will remain with your family and friends. I just signed up for the Out of Darkness walk in new Brunswick in September. I will be walking for your family and our son.

Dear Robin and family,
I am so very sorry for the loss of your precious daughter. Robin, from the moment I met you in NYC for the search, I saw what a remarkable woman you were. So easy to understand why Paige was such an amazing young woman. What began as wanting to help a family in distress, ended in my own sorrow of the loss of a beautiful, loved daughter. I feel as though I knew Paige personally through you, her loving, loyal, friends and all I have come to know about her. I will pray for all of you always, and hold the memory of an extraordinary young lady forever in my heart.

To Robin, Chris, Erin and your family and friends, and to all Paiges' friends: I am so sorry to hear about Paige's death. From the 3 schools I graduated from in PA, I had asked that a prayer chain begin for Paige. I have since learned that there were 93 people praying for all of you all over the U.S., and the prayers will continue.
