R. Gleason Obituary
AGE: 55 • Bound Brook
R. Patrick Gleason, 55, died Sunday, June 21, 2015, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital - Somerset, Somerville. Born January 6, 1960, In Jackson, MS, he was the son of Robert E. and Joan Mitterbach Gleason. He had resided in Bound Brook since 1969.
Patrick worked for EMC Corp., for 10 years, then worked the past three years as a Health Care Account Executive with VMware, Warren. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was an avid New York Mets baseball and New York Jets football fan. For 25 years he was Head Coach for Bound Brook Midget Youth Wrestling. He was a member of Lodge No. 1388, B.P.O. Elks, Bound Brook, and a Communicant of St. Joseph R. C. Church, Bound Brook.
Patrick was predeceased by his father, who died in 1998. He is survived by his wife, Donna Capolupo Gleason; his children, Derek Gleason, Grabriel Gleason, Teresa Gleason, all of Bound Brook; his mother, of Bound Brook, and his siblings, Michael Gleason of South Brunswick, Timothy (Michelle) Gleason of Baden, PA, Kathleen (George) Prayias of Warren, and Martin Gleason, Esq., of Bound Brook.
Funeral Services will be 9:15 A.M. Thursday, June 25, at Hagan - Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Ave., Bound Brook, followed by a 10:00 A.M. Funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church. Interment will be at Bound Brook Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home Wednesday, 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to Bound Brook Wrestling, Bound Brook High School, Bound Brook, NJ 08805

The world was a better place for having Pat in it. He has made a positive impact on the lives of hundreds of kids through his wrestling program. He was larger than life guy who injected energy into people whenever he was around. Pat was the toughest guy I've ever met and I count myself as one of his many friends who are grateful for having known him.

Pat was awesome to work with! I hugged him when he left EMC. I knew how much he loved his family. We tell of our experiences with Pat and with each story we realize how much his family, friends and community will miss him. He was taken far too young.

I had the privilege of knowing and working on the same team as Pat form 2006 - 2010 at EMC. The bottom line is Pat made me a better employee and father. He pressed to be the best, which always drove me. Every time I would run into Pat at 2 Penn Plaza or in Warren after that, it was like running into an old friend from childhood. All my prayers to Pat's family. There is no question he is holding court and telling stories right now in Heaven.

There are no words to describe the type of person Pat was. God never had a mold to break when he made Pat. Because he never knew how wonderful Pat would be. The greatest gift in life any one person could give another, was to allow them to call them a friend. I thank Pat for that gift. You will be sorly miss my friend. RIP. God Bless.

Oh! Joan, I am so sad at the death of your Beloved Patrick. We join the Mother's who carry the death of a child forever in our heartspace. Pat is in Paradise filled with AWE and Joy after being greeted by Our Lord and Mary as well his dad and the ancestors. I can't imagine the multitudes of all the precious folks,who are in Paradise, who were so beloved by all the Gleasons. Love never dies!
