Raymond A. Paprota died Thursday, May 26, 2016, at Cranbury Center, Monroe Township.

He was 76. Born in Spotswood, he resided there and in Lake Wales, FL, before moving to Monroe Township 7 years ago. Prior to his retirement in 1994, Mr. Paprota was a Class A Crib Mechanic for Kimberly-Clark, Spotswood, where he worked for 35 years. He served as Union President of Local 1482. He was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Spotswood. A United States Marines veteran, he served during peacetime from 1957-1959. Mr. Paprota was Fire Chief for the Spotswood Fire Department in 1972. He was also a Mason at Philo Lodge #243 in South River.

Surviving are his wife of almost 55 years, Mary Colleton Paprota; his children, Raymond of Birmingham, AL, Robert and his wife, Lisanne, of Milltown, and Ronald and his wife, Mary, of Monroe Township; a brother, Richard and his wife, Jillian, of The Villages, FL; and grandchildren, Raymond John, Mary Beth, Anne Marie, James and Grace.

Friends may visit on Tuesday, May 31st, at 10:00 AM, at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 505 Main Street, Spotswood, where a memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM. Cremation was private. Arrangements were entrusted to The BRUNSWICK MEMORIAL HOME, East Brunswick (www.brunswickmemorialhome.com).
