Richard Bambara Obituary
AGE: 54 • Manalapan
Richard Bambara, 54, of Manalapan, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, August 17, 2011. Born and raised in Brooklyn, he has resided in Manalapan for the past 23 years. He graduated from Brooklyn Tech & The College of Staten Island. Rich was a computer consultant for EMC Corp., Berkeley Heights. He is survived by his wife, Celia; his children, Richard and Michelle of Manalapan; his parents, Joseph and Carmela Bambara of Brooklyn; his three siblings, Joseph of Port Washington, NY, Vincent of Holmdel, and Patricia of Brooklyn.
Friends and family are invited to visit on Saturday, August 20, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., with a funeral service at 7:30 p.m., at the Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, 344 Route 9 North, Manalapan. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to American Heart Association.

My condolences. I grew up with Richie and both he and Vinnie were close friends during my teenage years in Flatbush. I ran into him a few times when lived in Manalapan back in the 80's. He hadn't changed; still a terrific guy. When I went to look him up today, I saw the obit.

Maria, Ricky, Michelle, we think of you often and have Rich's picture right here next to Eddie's. Life is so uncertain and unfair but we have no choice but to accept what we are dealt. May God Bless all of you.

ALthough I only worked with Rich and never got a chance to meet his family. You know from his great spirit at work that this carried through into his life. My condolences to family and friends who lost a great man, dad and friend. May god bless him and welcome Rich with open arms into his kingdom.

This is for Maria and her kids as well as Rich's parents and siblings. I had the honor of working with Rich. We worked together at First Boston Corporation the World Trade Center then later down at Princeton when the data center was moved. He was my group mate and cubicle neighbor. I have fond memories of Rich. He was a professional but more than that, he was a good person. I will remember him in my prayers. Please accept my sincere condolences.

My deepest condolences to you all on Rich’s passing. I was so sad to hear the news. I worked with Rich for 2 years in the mid-80s when First Boston’s data center was still located at the World Trade Center. My brother Richard was one of the smartest and nicest people you would ever know. We grew up in the streets of Flatbush in Brooklyn and our childhood was story book. Rich met his lifelove right there as a teenager. We will all miss him so very much. Rich keep an eye on us from above.
