Richard Strugala Obituary
Dr. Richard A. Strugala, age 69, passed away on August 14, 2021 at home. Born in South Amboy, he grew up in Sayreville before moving to Kingston over 30 years ago. Richard worked for Middlesex County College and Rutgers University as a Professor before his passing. Dr. Strugala was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Church. Richard was a loving son, brother, uncle, friend, professor and so much more. He will be missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.
Richard is predeceased by his parents Lawrence & Josephine Strugala. Surviving is his adored siblings and their spouses JoAnn Strugala, Patricia & James O'Such and Gerard & Colleen Strugala as well as his much-loved nieces & nephews and their spouses Steven & Shannon O'Such, Christopher & Amanda O'Such, Nicholas Strugala, Peter & Vanessa Strugala as well as his beloved great-nieces & great-nephews Austin, Cordelia, Jordan & Benjamin and many loving cousins, friends, neighbors, and students.
Funeral services will be held 10:30am Monday August 23, 2021 from the Maliszewski Memorial Home, 121 Main St, Sayreville with a 11am Mass at St. Stanislaus Church. Burial will follow at St Stanislaus Cemetery in Sayreville. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Richard's name to the St. Stanislaus School Endowment Fund 221 MacArthur Ave. Sayreville, NJ.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Sunday August 22, 2021 from 12pm to 4pm. Please note that the funeral home requires masks to be worn at all times, regardless of vaccination status. Thank you for your cooperation.

My deepest sympathy to the Strugala family. He was an amazing English professor. He spoke softly, but carried a big stick which amounted to someone like me to work harder.
