AGE: 83 • Bridgewater

Salvatore Passalacqua, 83, entered into heaven on June 18, 2012. He was born in Carini, Italy on November 16, 1928 to his dear parents Salvatore and Angela Sassano Passalacqua. Salvatore enjoyed working very much as the Owner of Sal's Pizzeria in Neptune, NJ. He served in the Italian Army and was a Communicant of St. Ann's Church in Raritan. Salvatore enjoyed gardening, soccer, walking, and spending time with his family. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, a dear brother, a wonderful grandfather, who was kind, caring, generous, and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Salvatore is survived by his beloved wife, Domenica Amato Passalacqua of 54 years; his loving children, Vincenzo "Vinnie" (Patricia) Passalacqua of Mullica Hill NJ, Angela (Salvatore) Ruggeri of Raritan, Peter (Lisa) Passalacqua of Hillsborough, Rita (James) Lopa of Bridgewater; two dear brothers, Antonio (Maria) Passalacqua and Giovanni Passalacqua; a loving sister, Angela (Frank) Mannino; and ten wonderful grandchildren, Peter, Valeria and Domenico Pannia, Vincenzo, Sofia, Liliana, Marco, Emanuela, Ava, and Jake. He was predeceased by his parents; two brothers, Vincenzo and Giuseppe Passalacqua; and two sisters, Rosalia (Scavo) DiStefano and Caterina DiStefano.

Viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the Bongiovi Funeral Home, 416 Bell Avenue, Raritan, NJ 08869 (908-725-1887). Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 21, 2012 starting with a viewing from 9:00 to 10:30 am at the funeral home followed by a 11:00 am Mass at St. Ann's Church, 45 Anderson Street, Raritan, NJ 08869. Entombment in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Bridgewater, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory at the funeral home.

It was a privilege meeting you all at the funeral home in Raritan last night. I am Peter, Lisa, Liliana, Marco and Jake's pastor. Here at the church we love the Passalacquas and extend to you our deepest sympathy at the loss of Peter's dad. God is close to you and and has received Salvatore into his eternal kingdom. God be praised - for his salvation and for his grace throughout Salvatore's life. May he grant you all peace.
