Theresa De Cola Obituary
AGE: 89 • South Plainfield
Theresa (Zampella) De Cola, 89, passed away on June 13, 2017 at JFK Medical Center. Born in Plainfield to her late parents Sam and Flora Zampella, she has been a resident of South Plainfield since 1967.
In her early years, Theresa worked as a Secretary to the Principal at Grant School. She retired from Dr. Dulay's office in Fanwood where she worked from 1987-1995. Theresa enjoyed cooking, baking and loved animals and the shore. She was an active parishioner of The Church of the Sacred Heart in South Plainfield.
Predeceased by her husband Michael in 2009 and by three siblings; Tony, Mary and Angie, Theresa is survived by her daughter Teresa De Cola of South Plainfield, her brother John and his wife Mary of North Carolina and several extended family members.
Visitation will be held in McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 from 5-7pm and on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 beginning 11:30 am followed by a 12pm funeral service in the funeral home.
Interment will take place following the funeral service beside her husband at Holy Redeemer Cemetery in South Plainfield. In lieu of flowers, donations sent to the family would be appreciated.
