Thomas Rocco Obituary
Morganville
Thomas J. Rocco, of Marlboro, passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at home surrounded by his family. Tom was born to Joseph and Julia Rocco in New York City. The family resided in Freehold, NJ, where Tom graduated from Freehold Regional High School in 1962. He went on to graduate from Youngstown University in Ohio earning his BS in business administration. Following college, Tom entered the shoe industry first working in New York City for Kinney Shoe. He later moved in to all facets of the shoe industry, designing and manufacturing shoes for most of the major retailers. Tom was generous and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He had a wonderful sense of humor and we will all remember the many laughs we shared. Tom is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 51 years, Marilyn Rocco, whom he met in high school, his two sons and daughters-in-law Anthony and Janine Rocco of Wall, NJ, and David and Maria Rocco of Marlboro, NJ, as well as his seven grandchildren Nick, Danielle, Julia, Mathew and Michael Rocco, and Louis and Rose Monetti. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 13, 2015 from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM at the Old Bridge Funeral Home, 2350, Route 516, Old Bridge, NJ. A funeral mass will take place on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 10 AM in St. Gabriel Main Church, Marlboro, NJ followed by entombment in St. Gabriel Cemetery, Marlboro. It's always sad to lose a good friend from the old days in Freehold. I met Tom when the fifth & sixth grade were together at St.Rose and many times after that through out the years. Tom was always fun to be around and everyone will miss him. My Condolences to Marilyn & Family. Steve Coley,Florida
