THOMAS W. STABILE
AGE: 80 WEST POINT ISLAND
Thomas W. Stabile, 80, of West Point Island died Sunday, May 17, 2009 at home with his family by his side. Born in Bound Brook, NJ he lived in Somerville and Bridgewater prior to moving to West Point Island 30 years ago. Thomas was a high school graduate of St. Peter's High School New Brunswick, NJ. He then attended Sea Girt Police School. He worked for the Somerville Police Department for 28 years, retiring as Detective Lieutenant in 1980. He is past president of Somerville PBA #147; a charter member and past president of Central Jersey Law Enforcement Association; a member of Somerset County Prosecutor's Task Force and a member of Lincoln Hose Fire Company for 30 years.
Thomas is predeceased by his wife Louise (DeLorenzo) Stabile in 2007 and son, Kenneth J. He is survived by two daughters, Sandra J. Moss of Sunrise, FL and Kathryn A. Teeling of Readington, NJ; Six grandchildren, William, Kelly, Matthew, Pamela, Deborah and Michael; One brother, William Stabile of Somerville, NJ and a sister, Vivian Flower of Watchung, NJ.
Committal private. The Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 706 Grand Central Avenue Lavallette, NJ 08735 is in charge of the funeral arrangements. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of New Jersey 400 Broadacres Dr. 1st Floor Bloomfield, NJ 07003. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.ryanfuneralhome.com
