William Coney Obituary
AGE: 66 • Piscataway
William (Bill) Coney, 66, of Piscataway, NJ passed away on Thursday, Aug. 9, 2012, at Saint Peter's Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. For 38 years, he worked for Hamamatsu/Universal Spectrum Corporation as a manager and Vice President.
To cherish his memory he leaves his wife, Fabian; sons, Tyrone, Donovan and William J. Coney; daughter, Amara Richardson; sisters, Jennie Ruth Parrish, Avie L. Lanier, Mary E. (Roosevelt) Lanier; brothers, Dave Jr. (Nellie Mae), Leonard (Rosetta) Coney; mother-in-law, Adele McKelvin; two sisters-in-law, Serena McKelvin and Roxanne Hill; brother-in-law, Pableto Alston and a host of loving relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made in memory of William Coney to the Children's Cancer and Blood Foundation, 333 East 38th Street, Suite 830, New York, New York 10016, (212) 297-4336. Funeral service will be held 11 am on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Macedonia Original Free Will Baptist Church, 372 Highland Ave., Piscataway. Viewing is from 9:30 am to 11:00 am, at the church. Entombment will follow at Franklin Memorial Park and Mausoleum, North Brunswick. Arrangements are by Anderson Funeral Service, New Brunswick.

To the Coney Family: The CCTS/LSHS Reunion Committee (Metter, GA) extend to you our profound sympathy in the loss of your loved one. We always looked forward to seeing 'Bill" when we convened biennially to salute the past and embrace/seize the present". Bill was the consummate, gentleman ; soft spoken and ever helpful in word and deed. Please find comfort in knowing that to be absent in the body is to be present with the Lord. Trust GOD to restore you to a sense of normalcy during the coming days, months and/or years as you learn to live without him.

Bill was always such a gentleman.He was instrumental in my grandson's scholarship to college in 2008.He was never too busy to stop and talk when I saw him. God bless the family . You have my deepest sympathy.

I have so many wonderful memories of my uncle Bill. He had such a warm and endearing manner that just made you feel good while in his presence. He could make you laugh out loud. Uncle Bill was such a positive force in my life and I will miss him dearly. I will love you always.

My heart is heavy, My Uncle Bill (not by BLOOD or by MARRIAGE but by LOVE) passed away. He was the sweetest, most loving, and caring man to all he encountered. I will always remember the last time I saw him and how bright his smile was.
