William Hadzimichalis Obituary

William Thomas Hadzimichalis

William Hadzimichalis (Billy Hodge) passed away unexpectedly on Friday morning August 13, 2021. He was thirty-nine years old.

Billy was born in New Brunswick and was raised in North Brunswick. He graduated from North Brunswick High School where he played golf and won the Greater Middlesex County Championship his senior year. He attended Wesley College in Dover, Delaware, on a golf scholarship and graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in Criminal Justice.

After being employed in the corporate world for a few years, Billy decided to open his own business in 2010. He owned and operated Hodge Landscaping LLC, which was recently voted the Best Landscaping and Lawn Service in North Brunswick.

Billy was an awesome Dad. His proudest moments were watching Jake William and Molly Green chase their dreams. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, riding quads with his family, and visiting the Jersey Shore. Billy enjoyed sitting around a fire listening to music with family and friends. He was a big kid at heart with a heart full of gold. Billy was the first to help anyone in need. He had friends from all walks of life. When you met Billy you knew you met someone special and you met a life-long friend. He was a New York Rangers hockey fan and a New York Giants football fan.

Billy is survived by his wife of eleven years Melissa Latanzio Hadzimichalis (West Amwell) and their two children Jake and Molly. He is also survived by his parents, William and Marianthe Hadzimichalis (North Brunswick), brother Jason Hadzimichalis (Franklin Park), and sister Lauren (Matthew) Mormando (Milltown) and their children Logan and Madison. He is also survived by his father and mother-in-law Arthur and Mary Latanzio (Flemington) and brother-in-law Arthur Latanzio, Jr. (Three Bridges).

Funeral services will take place on Friday, August 20 at 10:30 AM at St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Piscataway. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Park in North Brunswick. Visitation will take place on Thursday from 4-8 PM at the Gleason Funeral Home, 1360 Hamilton Street in Somerset. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to Jake and Molly's Education Fund. Checks can be made payable to "College Accounts 529 Plan" and mailed to Melissa Hadzimichalis c/o Martin Kane Kuper, LLC, 180 Tices Lane, Building B Suite 200, East Brunswick, NJ 08816.
