LINDA STONE Obituary
LINDA STONE
04/14/1940 - 12/02/2025
Linda Jean (Nelson) Stone, 85, of Holt, Missouri, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 2, 2025. Linda was born on April 14, 1940 at home in Kossuth County, Iowa. She married her sometimes ornery soulmate, William Tracy Stone, on January 17, 1958, and together they built a strong, faith-filled family and a lifetime of cherished memories. In 1967, Linda and Tracy moved to Kearney, Missouri, then to Holt, Missouri where they lived, loved, and raised their family. Linda was a long-time and dedicated member of Lawson Assembly of God, where her faith shaped every part of her life.
Linda's greatest joy and proudest accomplishments were being a mother and later a grandmother and great-grandmother. She poured her entire heart into her family and considered them her life's purpose. Her children - Rick, Robin, Missy and Ryan - were her pride, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her joy. She celebrated every milestone, never missed a birthday, and always made sure her loved ones felt remembered, valued, and deeply loved. Linda had a gift for bringing people together, especially for capturing precious moments by taking photos.
Linda lived her life with kindness, warmth, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her legacy is reflected in the generations who adored her. She loved gathering everyone together, cheering her family on, and making each person feel uniquely cherished. In her final chapter, Linda received devoted care from her granddaughter Nichole, whose compassion, faithfulness, and love brought comfort, dignity, and peace to her final days. Linda is survived by her faithful husband of nearly 68 years, Tracy Stone; her children Rick Stone (Carla), Robin Morris (Don), Missy Green (Scott), and Ryan Stone (Kristi); her grandchildren Lance Stone (Nichole), Courtney Wright (Barrett), Vanessa Hill (Chris), Lindsey Black (Tom), Mattie Manns (Chance), Jaclyn Stone, Brayden Stone, Brooklyn Stone, and Colton Stone; and her beloved great-grandchildren Emelia, Kenza, and Wyatt Stone; Emmitt, Nolan, and Wade Wright; Ella, Daphne, and Lincoln Hill; Halli, Owen, and Joelle Black; and Laken and Taylen Manns.
She was preceded in death by her grandchildren Brittney Stone and Garrison Green, who she spoke of often and was very excited to see again.
Linda's legacy of faith, family, and unconditional love will be carried forward by all who knew her. Her gentle spirit, her steady presence, and her deep devotion will never be forgotten. She is now healed, whole, and rejoicing in the presence of Jesus - the hope she held firmly throughout her life. Her life was a reflection of God's grace, and her memory will remain forever cherished.
