LETART — Christian Levi Darst, 27, of Letart, passed away Thursday, March 11, 2021 at Holzer Emergency Department Meigs, Pomeroy, Ohio.
He was born January 25, 1994 at Pleasant Valley Hospital in Point Pleasant, to Shawn Darst and Cindy (Moore) Wandling. Christian graduated from Point Pleasant Junior/Senior High in 2012. He loved his dogs, cats, football, fishing, hunting, collecting knives and fishing poles. Christian loved spending time with his family and friends since the day he was born. Above all he loved Christ and his wife Angel and her daughters, Morgan and Linzie Cundiff. Christian and Angel were married on October 10, 2015. At the time of his death, he was a Lakin Correctional Center employee as a Corrections Office. He was honored to be a member of the New Haven Fire Department since 2018. If he left this world with any regrets, it could only be that he didn't get to move his family to Elberton, Ga., to be near his Fortson family as he was planning.
He leaves behind his wife Angel Darst, daughters, Morgan and Linzie Cundiff, mother, Cindy (Kerry) Wandling, father, Shawn (Ginger) Darst, grandmothers, Alice Darst of Henderson, Donna Moore, of Leon, and grandparents, Senneth and Catherine Wandling of Point Pleasant, two sisters, Mackenzie (Travis) Barry and Emilee Darst, brothers, Cody Wandling, Nicholas Leport and Ethan Moody, uncle, Ted (Peggy) Moore, Mother-in-law, Donna (Bill) Issac, brother-in-law, Jon Grimm, sister-in-law, Tabby (Carlton) Herald, nephews, Ethan and Keghan Cochran and Zane Wandling, nieces, Haylinn Grimm and Scarlett Wandling. He was loved and will also be missed by his many great aunts, uncles and cousins.
