MCARTHUR, Ohio — Larry E. Carver Sr., 75, of McArthur, Ohio, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2016 at his residence. He was born February 25, 1941 in Point Pleasant, son of the late Shirley H. and Mabel P. McCarty Carver. Larry was married for 40 years to Victoria "Vicky" J. McCarty Carver, who survives.
He was a retired heating and air technician for Favret Heating and Air in Columbus and a Navy Veteran. Larry attended the Allensville Church of Christ in Christian Union and was a member of Local Union #189 Plumbers and Pipe Fitters and a former member of the VFW and Moose Lodges.
In addition to his wife, Larry is survived by his sons, Larry (Sherry) Carver Jr. of Amanda and Christopher (Cassie) Carver of McArthur; stepson, Raymond (Carol) Cusack Jr. of Marysville; daughters, Laurie (Richard) Bridgers of North Carolina, Pam (Dave) Barton of North Carolina and Frances Parrish of North Carolina; stepdaughter, Brenda (Richard) Raymond of Ashville, Ohio; sixteen grandchildren, two great granddaughters; brother, Nick (Nancy) Carver of Columbus; sisters, Jeannette (David) Richards of West Virginia, Shirley "Sue" (Glen) Crabtree of Columbus and Pam Dawson of Columbus and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Monday, November 21, 2016 in the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, with Pastor Wes Gallaugher officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, McArthur, with military graveside services being held by the McArthur VFW Post #5299. Friends may call at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home on Sunday, from 6-8 p.m.
