Chandra Lynell Sampson

1971 - 2022

Chandra Lynell Sampson, born August 15, 1971, departed her earthly journey on July 26, 2022.

She was the daughter of Standford Sampson, Sr. who predeceased her in 2019, and Lucille Sampson of Chestertown, MD.

Chandra was educated in Kent County Public Schools and was affectionately known as Stoney, Beer garden, Chakka, Storm. She worked in the service industry as a caregiver, until her health impacted her ability to do so. Chandra loved God, spending time with family especially her grandchildren and the color orange. Chandra enjoyed singing, especially Toni Braxton and Anita Baker music and enjoyed playing bingo and cards. She could also be seen in a fresh white pair of sneakers and leggings.

Chandra was predeceased by her love Melvin Bradford. She is survived by her mother, Lucille Sampson; two daughters, Shayquan Sampson and Shamira Butler (Donte, Sr.); seven grandchildren, Zaymere, Sincere, Jaxon, Naliya, Aryn, Journey and Donte, Jr.; two brothers, Standford Sampson, Jr. of Chestertown and Ricardo Sampson of Cambridge; three sisters, Karen Ellis of Delaware, Deborah Sampson of Chestertown and Nikia Sampson of Delaware; four aunts, Carolyn Goldsboro whom she was very close with, Patricia Phillips (Garrison), Shirley Lindsey and Gloria Johnson; a special cousin Elyse Black; best friends, Kyra Warren, Angela Norfleet, Michelle Rush, Angela Hicks, Adreinne Hicks, Lydia Tores and Nette Nette welcoming you at the "Gate". She leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
