Dorris Scott formerly of Chestertown, MD, passed away on August 10, 2021 in Annapolis, MD. She was born to David and Alvina Philby on September 22, 1929 in Long Island, NY.
Dorris was a beloved schoolteacher for 30 years, receiving the teacher of the year award several times. She and her husband, Alton Marshall owned Aldor Antique's in Maryland, an antique shop in Barnegat, NJ, and also owned and managed the Inn at Mitchell House. This Inn contained their most beautiful antiques, yielding high critic awards from newspapers and guests. She and her husbands were very active members in the Scottish Society. She was a wonderful hostess with parties at her home during big event weekends in town. She and her husband, John, traveled to South Africa to attend an international Diamond Convention.
She is survived by one grandson, Allen Marshall of Miami Springs, FL.
