Allan Earl Holloman

1948 - 2025

Allan Earl Holloman was born August 2, 1948, in Portsmouth Virginia. He was raised a "Navy Brat" and grew up all over the United States. He said he never went to the same school two years in a row except once. This gave him the skill to make friends wherever he went, and he was loved by all who came to know him. He met the love of his life while attending college at AACC and they married in 1976. Together they made their home on the Eastern Shore of Maryland where they raised 5 children. Allan had many careers from shipbuilder to polymer engineer. Allan joined the Navy during Vietnam and became an active participant at the Grasonville VFW for many years. He was a founding member of the Kent Island Branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He developed a love for history, and he participated in Civil War Reenacting for over 35 years as a member of the US 1st Maryland Volunteer Infantry. Allan will be remembered for his kindness and generosity as well as his wit and humor which he shared freely.

He is preceded in death by his wife Jennifer, his parents Rodney and Alma, his brothers Nathan and Norman, and his granddaughter Kailey. He leaves behind 5 children, Sarah Harrison and husband Ronnie, Esther Shaw, Lian Holloman and wife Elizabeth, Kyle Holloman and wife Karen, Cameron Holloman and wife Rachael, as well as several grandchildren and a great granddaughter.

A visitation will be held on Monday June 2nd, 2025, from 6pm-8pm at Fellows, Helfenbein, and Newnam Funeral Home 106 Shamrock Rd. Chester, MD 21619. The funeral will be on Tuesday June 3rd, 2025, 10:30am, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 110 Goodhand Creek Rd, Chester, MD 21619. Interment will immediately follow the service at Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery 6827 E New Market Ellwood Rd, Hurlock, MD 21643.
