Bobby Mazingo

1940 - 2021

Bobby Mazingo passed away at Anne Arundel Medical Center on Friday, March 26, 2021 due to complications from COVID19. He was born on December 12, 1940 in Richlands, NC where he lived until coming to Maryland as a young adult. He was a retired machinist from Northrop Grumman and was currently a resident of Queenstown.

Bob is survived by his children-son Robert "Bobby" (Lisa) Mazingo, as well as daughter Tonya (Tom) Dellinger, Granchildren-Bobby Jr. and Jillian Mazingo, Tyler and Wyatt Frantz, Brother-Jimmy Mozingo of Florida and sister-Virginia Davies of Ohio, former wife-Sarah Lee Knight and husband John Knight, many nieces and nephews and countless friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Clifton and Eldie Mozingo and sisters Ellen Garman and Sadie Dunlap.

Bob loved classic cars, attending car shows and having breakfast with his car club. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends. In his younger days, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, the outdoors and racing sprint cars with his son and grandchildren. His favorite place to vacation was Topsail Beach, NC.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 5th from 4:00-7:00 pm at Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home 106 Shamrock road Chester, MD 21619. For the visitation, the family is hoping to fill the parking lot with old cars. If you have a classic car, or if you can borrow or steal one for the afternoon, please drive it and park alongside Bob's cars!
