Howard McHenry Obituary

Howard A. McHenry, 87 of Kennedyville, MD passed away on December 28, 2024 at Golden Rule Assisted Living, Rock Hall, MD.

Mr. McHenry was born on January 25, 1937, son of the late Joseph A. and Sarah Willis McHenry. He was a lifetime farmer, owning and operating a grain and dairy farm in Kennedyville. He enjoyed coon hunting and horseback riding. Mr. McHenry was a member of the Kennedyville United Methodist Church.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Lee McHenry and his brothers, George McHenry, Arnold "Doc" McHenry, and Calvin McHenry.

Mr. McHenry is survived by his wife of 68 years, Rebecca Plummer McHenry; sons, H. Albie McHenry, Jr. and Dudley McHenry (Teri); two sisters, Margaret Ann Gary and Marian Leiby; 6 grandchildren, Kate Dowling (Sam), Hannah Ewing (Cody), Heidi Starkey (Tommy), Haley Alvater (Matt), Joey McHenry (Jenell) and Phillip McHenry and 14 great grandchildren.

A private service will be held at Kennedyville United Methodist Church with burial in adjoining cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to Kennedyville United Methodist Church, PO Box 32, Kennedyville, MD 21645.
