Carol Bailey Obituary

Carol Ann Bailey (nee Kettner) 91 of Sierra Vista, passed away on October 5, 2025.
Carol was born on February 2, 1934, to George and Clara Kettner in Atchinson, Kansas. She grew up in parsonages in Durham and Hutchinson, Kansas and had lots of stories to tell about growing up as the pastor's kid. She graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1951 and married B.D. Bailey in 1952.
Carol became a church organist while still in high school and played for churches for the rest of her life. She also was a full-time volunteer, working at schools, churches, nursing homes, and any place that needed her help.
Carol and B.D. raised their family in Denver. They also lived in Santa Barbara and Lodi, California before settling in Sierra Vista.
Carol was predeceased by her husband B.D., their son Brad, as well as her siblings and parents. She is survived by their daughters Kelly and Wendy, daughter-in-law Deborah, grandchildren Lauren, Mackenzie, Erienne, Alyssa, and Spencer, and great granddaughter Ann.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 15 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sierra Vista. A small reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Volunteer Interfaith Caregiver Program in Sierra Vista or any branch of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League.
