With great sadness, we announce the death of Casey Joe Ramirez. Casey passed away on June 11, 2024, in Goodyear, Arizona. He was 33 years old. He was born to Vincent Ramirez and Sherril Ramirez (Plough) in Phoenix, Arizona, on January 19, 1991. He had five siblings: Joshua Ramirez, Matthew Ramirez, Levi Ramirez, Stephanie Moller (Ramirez), and Stacey Grijalva (Ramirez).
Casey lived his life in Arizona, growing up in Benson. He attended Benson High School and earned his GED. He studied at Pima CC, UofA, and Estrella CC. At the time of his death, he was pursuing a network and cyber security degree from Estrella CC.
Casey will always be remembered for his love, compassion, and selflessness toward family, friends, and strangers. He treated everyone with kindness and respect. He had an innate ability to put others before himself, always going out of his way to help others, including giving the ultimate gift of life through organ donation. He had a knack for offering candid advice and opinions, often delivering them with humor. He had a sharp wit and a unique sense of humor that could make anyone smile. Casey was loved dearly by his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Casey is survived by Vincent (65), Joshua (40), Matthew (38) (wife Casey), Levi (35) (wife Theresa), Stephanie (30) (husband Drew), and Stacey (30) (husband Spencer); grandparent, Ruby Plough (84). He is predeceased by his mother, Sherril.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024 (9 A.M.) at Richardson's Benson Remembrance Center, 725 E. 4th St., Benson, AZ 85602. Interment will follow the services (10:30–11:00 A.M.) at the High Street Cemetery, 750 S. High Street, Benson, AZ 85602.
