Dear Dixie and family,

Glen Kartchner was a gentle person, kind, and devout to his faith. I remember his outdoor retirement gathering at St. Joe´s-we all missed him after that. I remember his nice singing voice and have fond memories of Dixie and Glenn singing at December holiday parties. All who ever met Glenn have been touched by him. His was a caring, compassionate, and loving soul. Margo and I have been deeply saddened to learn of his death. We share your family sorrow and yet know we cannot imagine the depth of your loss even though he is a loss to us too. We have been praying for your family and Glenn and our broken hearts go out to your family, Dixie, and to you with our deepest and most sincere condolences.

Very truly yours,

Steven & Margo Pike

I was an RN and worked with Dr Kartchner for 15 yrs at St Joe´s ER. If my family or I ever needed medical care I can´t think of anyone more capable than "Kartch". He was a smart, kind, gentle man that treated everyone with respect. It was a privilege to know and work with him.

Condolences to the family. Being on staff at St. John's, it was always reassuring to hear Dr. Kartchner's voice on the phone call from the ER. I knew my patients were in good hands and the decision he made would be appropriate. He would "tuck in" my patients so that I would not have to make that 2 AM trip to the hospital. Rest in Peace, Glen!
