Joyce Turner Jenkins passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 22, 2024. She had been a resident of Sierra Vista for 14 years.
Born to William and Rachel Turner, Joyce grew up in Norfolk, VA, where she attended Norview High School. As a military wife, she lived in North Carolina, Georgia, Mississippi, Germany, and Australia. Joyce enjoyed participating in many activities, including women's softball, bowling, playing horse shoes, and singing in the church choir. She loved hosting family, friends, and co-workers to cook-outs and fish frys, and loved competing in card games and dominoes. Joyce retired from Regent University in Virginia Beach, where she was a supervisor in the law library. She loved her students and co-workers, talked of them often, and thought of them as family.
Joyce is survived by her daughters, Donna Boyle (Richard) of Sierra Vista, Vicki Crawford (Jerry) of Decatur, MS, and Jo Ritter (Jim) of Springfield, VA; grandchildren, Jennifer Boyle, Sam Boyle (Sara-Jane), Rachel Baxter (Philip), Owen Boyle (Danielle), Jonathan Mason, Steven Bailey, and Mason Crawford; great grand children, Ella, Abigail, Sydney, and Theodore; and several nieces. She is predeceased by her son, Steven Mason; brother, Richard Lloyd Turner (Virginia); and granddaughter, April Bailey.
A graveside service and celebration of life will be held at Riverside Memorial Park, Norfolk, VA on November 26, 2024 at 1 p.m. Arrangements by Graham Funeral Home, 1112 Kempsville Rd., Chesapeake, VA.
