Michael Borquez

1953 - 2025

Michael H. Borquez, 72, died unexpectedly at his home in Monroeville, PA on Saturday, October 25. A graduate of Tucson High School and Pima Community College in Tucson, Michael married Elizabeth C. Leonard, also of Tucson, on November 22, 1973. They resided in Sierra Vista until he retired from his distinguished 30-year career as a Cochise County juvenile probation officer, and they moved to Western Pennsylvania where Michael was employed until recently by the Giant Eagle Supermarket Company. A son of the late Henry and Alicia Borquez, Michael is survived by his beloved wife, brothers Paul (Lupita), John (Linda), Louis (Deborah), and sister Monica Patania, along with numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. With his unique blend of warmth, generosity, and enthusiasm, Michael was loved by everyone whose life he touched. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him. A celebration of Michael's life will be held next spring in Tucson. Those who wish to remember Michael in a special way may make donations to a charity of your choice.
