Sue Israel Obituary

Sue Israel, wife, mother, accountant, dog lover, (she never met a dog she didn't love) passed away on November 6, 2025. Sue was born at the Naval hospital in Portsmouth VA, in 1948, and lived her life to the fullest. She made a positive impact on individuals with whom she met and in service to the community.
Sue graduated from El Cajon High School, earned an associate's degree in accounting from Cochise College and was most proud of receiving a full ride scholarship, earning a bachelor's degree from Missouri Western University. Sue spent time working as a government civil employee, managing the TDY section at Fort Huachuca. Her greatest passion and love was being the very best housewife ever! She was the exemplar of the hardest job on earth, being a stay-at-home parent. She served the community through mentoring and tutoring at-risk children and volunteering in various roles at the Methodist Church of Sierra Vista, AZ.
Sue is survived by her loving and devoted husband, David Israel, brothers Craig (Linda) Christoffersen and Richard Christoffersen, daughter Amy (Chris) Jauch, stepson Marq Israel, grandchildren Haley Jauch, Andrew (Jorryn) Jauch, Savannah Israel, and Kimberly Israel. Sue was preceded in death by her mother June and father A.P. Christoffersen.
Due to Sue's love of celebrating life with vibrance and joy, her wish is to not have a funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
