C. Arnold Obituary
He was born July 6, 1924, the son of the late Charles H. and Beatrice Woodall Arnold. He married Bonnie J. Andrews Oct. 17, 1949, in Roodhouse.
Mr. graduated from Winchester High School and attended Bradley University until he was called to serve his country in the U.S. Army in 1945.
He worked as a mechanic and was a farmer. He also was an Archer Oil salesman for 20 years. He attended First Christian Church in South Jacksonville, was a member of the farm bureau and Holiday Rambler RV Club. He loved to travel, and tinker with everything. He enjoyed antique tractors and cars, polka music and driving his Toolcat everywhere.
Surviving are his two daughters, Carolyn Jackson and Karen (Phil) McLaughlin both of Winchester; four sons, Rick Arnold of Terrell, Texas, Lyndell (Nora) Arnold, Mark Arnold, both of Jacksonville, and Scott (Pam) Arnold of Davis Junction; 15 grandchildren, Julie (Rich) Slunaker, Jed (Amanda) Arnold, Jessica (Andy) Wilson, Matt (Andrea) Arnold, Stephanie (Josh) Dugan, Adam (Krista) Holford, Elizabeth (Chris) Adcock, Kymmy Jackson, Nykole McLaughlin, Andria McLaughlin, Braden McLaughlin, Megan Arnold, Madeline Arnold, Mary Arnold, and Mykaela Arnold; 14 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Grace Shockley, of Macintosh, Florida.
Preceding him was his wife, Bonnie; daughter, Donna Jean Arnold; and an infant brother, Dale Henry Arnold.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at the Coonrod Funeral Home in Winchester. Burial will be at Bowers Cemetery, near Alsey. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, where the family will meet with friends 6-8 p.m. Memorials can be made to the Winchester EMS. Condolences may be sent to the family at airsman-hires.com.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family during this sad time. Please remember Clete is with his loved ones who have gone on and I'm sure he's smiling that sweet smile with the occasional nod! He had a long life and a family he loved dearly. He was a good man and had earned the respect of all who knew him. What a legacy to leave to his family! May you find comfort and hope in God and his promises!

So sorry to hear this. Cletus was always a very kind man. Enjoyed many visits with him at Woodson Livestock Auction when he worked there. My thoughts are with all of you.
