Carson Funk Obituary
Carrollton - Carson Funk, age 29, of Carrollton, Il. and formerly of White Hall, Il. died May 31, 2024 near Carrollton, Il.
He was born December 13, 1994 in Jerseyville, Il. son of Brett and Amy Byus Funk.
Surviving are his parents Brett and Amy Funk of Roodhouse, Il.; a brother, Sean Funk of Roodhouse, Il.; maternal grandparents, Bill and Edie Byus of Rolla, Mo.; paternal grandfather, Melvin Funk of Carrollton, Il.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a paternal grandmother, Cindy Funk.
Carson was a 2013 graduate of North Greene High School. He was currently employed by Rockbridge Manufacturing in Rockbridge, Il. His past employment included The Brass Door Restaurant in Carrolton, Il., Midwest Truck Systems in St. Louis, Mo., and Reynolds Manufacturing in Jacksonville, Il. Carson loved collecting coins and was an avid Cardinal Baseball fan and a fan of Kansas City Chiefs like his father. He also enjoyed mushrooming and hunting.
A visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday (June 7, 2024) at Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Carrollton, Il. Memorials may be made to Mandy's Whine & Bark and sent to Airsman-Hires Funeral Home, 108 5th St. Carrollton, Il. 62016. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.airsman-hires.com.
