Christine Bowman Obituary
She was born Aug. 2, 1924, east of Literberry, the daughter of Oliver and Mabel Salome Lindsey.
Christine is survived by one daughter, Judy (Timothy) Barr of Albertville, Alabama; two granddaughters, Jennifer (Nathan) Perot of Aimwell, Louisiana and Lisa Deal of Hollister, Missouri; six great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Fay (deceased husband, Robert E.) Brown of Jacksonville; one brother, Kenneth (deceased wife, Peggy) Lindsey of Jacksonville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Christine was preceded in death by one daughter, Sharon Ann Robinette; one sister, Doris Inabel Bergschneider, (surviving husband, Jack of Auburn); and three brothers, Earl Lindsey (surviving wife, Helen, of Jacksonville), Everett Lindsey (surviving wife, Marjorie, of Jacksonville), and Wayne (deceased wife, Phyllis) Lindsey.
Christine was employed for many years in Chicago at the Emil J. Paidar Company, which made barber equipment. She later worked for several years as an accountant at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville. Christine was an accomplished yodeler and had performed on the radio as a young lady.
A funeral service will be held noon Saturday at Williamson Funeral Home, with burial at Yatesville Cemetery. The family will meet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Condolences may be left online at airsman-hires.com.
