Springfield - Claire J. Slagle, 84, of Springfield passed away peacefully at her residence Saturday, November 22, 2025. A private graveside service will be held. Daws Family Funeral Home in Jacksonville is in charge of arrangements.

I remember going to Claire's house when I was little (my grandmother was Letha Slagle Kaehlert) and playing with Julie and Tim but Claire was so nice. She attended my mother's visitation (Dolores Cannon) a couple of years ago. Memories to hang onto. My prayers and condolences are with Tim, Julie and families. May you find peace and comfort through Christ the Lord and family, friends and memories to help you through this time of need. If there's anything else I can do, please don't hesitate to reach out.
