David Allan Brogdon
Jacksonville - David Allan Brogdon, 74 of Jacksonville, passed away Sunday, October 20, 2024. He was born April 23, 1950, in Jacksonville the son of Cecil "Bud" Jr. and Donna Fae (Sollman) Brogdon. He married Linda Price on December 22, 1969, and she preceded him in death on October 12, 2024.
He is survived by his mother, Donna Brogdon; two daughters, Sheri (Matthew) Vanover of Chatham, and Heather Deweese of Springfield; three grandchildren, Liam Vanover, Aidan Vanover, and Drew Deweese; three brothers, Terry (Sarah) Brogdon, Roger (Kim) Brogdon, and Jerry (Jodi) Brogdon; and two sisters, Cheryl (Gregory) Perry and Sheila (Jim) Pate. He was preceded in death by his wife and father.
David served in the Army during the Vietnam War, he later worked as an electrician for IBEW Local 193 and ended his career working for APM as a supervisor on jobs across the country.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, October 25, 2024, at the Williamson Funeral Home. Private burial will be held at Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the David Brogdon and Linda Brogdon Memorial Account. Condolences may be left online at www.airsman-hires.com.
