I first knew Kay in elementary school. We completed our education at JHS in 1964. Altho we did not maintain contact over the years, I always knew that Kay would contribute to life in a great way. And she did. You all have my deepest sympathy. You were blessed to be in her life.

I grew up with Kay she was my very best friend in grade school. We attended kindergarten together at MacMurray College, I always said Kay and I went to college before we were ever in grade school. I have so many fond memories of Kay especially our time together in kindergarten trying to stay out of trouble. My mom told me that when I went to Franklin Elementary for 1st grade I discovered Kay and I were not in the same class so I politely told them I was not going without Kay. In high school we were both in the orchestra and played the cello I was very jealous of her playing abilities. Kay was loved by all who knew her and she will be missed. My life was blessed to have had Kay in it. With love and prayers Susan Chumley McMillan.

I remember Kay so fondly. We went to Franklin Elementary school together and were such good friends. She was a wonderful lady.

Always I have had happy. fine memories of Kay from our early years, from her cello playing and lovely perfection at home in Jacksonville to ISU years, and from knowing how pleased my uncle was to hire her as an English teacher in Bensenville. Reading of her happiness and later successes gives me joy, and I am thankful to know of all the good she brought and experienced in her life. My sympathy goes to her family and friends for Kay’s passing, yet the lovely memories I have of her will be forever.
