Dorothy Nera Obituary
She was born June 30, 1921, in Waverly, the daughter of Jacob and Elsie Marie Meier Paluska. She married Cayetano Lopez Nera on Nov. 10, 1955, in Washington, D.C., and he preceded her in death Oct. 13, 1984.
She is survived by her special cousins, Maurice Stewart and family of Waverly. She was preceded in death by her stepson, Ricardo Paul Nera; two brothers, William Thomas Jefferson Paluska and Don Jacob Paluska; and special friend, Nelson Green.
Mrs. Nera had been employed as a Standardization Specialist at the Department of the Navy. She was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Waverly.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Waverly, with burial at Waverly East Cemetery. The family will meet friends 8-10 a.m. Thursday at the church. Memorials are suggested to the Waverly Rescue Squad or the charity of the donor's choice. Neece-Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Waverly is in charge of arrangements. My deepest sympathies and condolences to the close friends and relatives of my gradma, Dorothy. I am Dorothy Nera's grandson thru Cayetano "Tata Nanoy" Nera. I will come and visit her and my grandpa soon.

We are very sorry to learn of Jean's death. We visited her last May at Concordia Village and she seemed happy to see us. Jean is my first cousin. Her dad, my Uncle Jake, was my mother's brother. I have many wonderful memories of all of them - Aunt Elsie and Tude, too. Wish that we could be there for the funeral tomorrow. We send our sympathy to all Jean's family.
