Grover "Andy" Ross
On the morning of Saturday, March 16th, Grover "Andy" Ross (77) of Roodhouse passed away in his home. Andy was born on July 19th, 1946 in Wrights. He was the son of Alfred & Louise Ross (Henderson).
He is survived by his wife of 58 years Grace Ross who he married on March 1st, 1966 in Jerseyville. He is also survived by two siblings, brother Kim (Becky) Henderson and sister Shelly Brown, three children, Tammy (Thomas) Morehead of Jacksonville, Missy (Dave) Barnett of Jacksonville and Ginger (Brad) Lovekamp of Murrayville, eight Grandchildren, Misty, Timmy, Shania, Brandie, Sara, Brandy, Blake and Sammie, ten great grandchildren Braden, Hailey, Coltin, Chevy, Haevyn, Quelyn, Karley, Luca, Kennedy, and Karlee and great- great Grandchildren Ashton and Journey. He was proceeded in death by his son Timmy, Grandson Aaron, three Sisters, Sharlet Brenna and Tammy, and Brother Rodney.
Andy was a member of the Roodhouse Emmanuel Baptist Church and loved many things including mowing his yard, fishing (as long as someone would bait his hook) and enjoying the outdoors from the comfort of his porch swing. Andy loved one thing more than anything however, and that was his family. Every Sunday he and his wife would host dinners for their family and visit with them for hours on end. If Andy could have had it his way though, he would have had them be by his side every day. Andy will be missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in White Hall with burial to follow in Fernwood Cemetery in Roodhouse. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
