Jack Hageman Obituary

Jack W. Hageman, 78, of Beardstown, died Saturday, July 23, 2011, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.

He was born Aug. 28, 1932, in Beardstown, the son of Willard Irwin and Helen V. Orr Hageman. He married Pauline "Pat" Florey on Nov. 21, 1954, in Beardstown.

Surviving is his wife, Pauline "Pat" Hageman of Beardstown; his son, Jack I. (wife, Tammy) Hageman of Beardstown; two daughters, Christina M. Smith of Jacksonville and Vickey L. (husband, Craig) Stevens of Frederick; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Patricia V. (surviving husband, Larry of Arenzville) Garthaus and Lajune C. Hageman; a brother and sister in infancy; and his brother, Orville Lee "Skip" Hageman.

Jack graduated from Beardstown High School in the class of 1950 and immediately enlisted in the Army National Guard and served until 1952. His working career was involved in construction and he was a member of First Christian Church in Beardstown. Jack enjoyed being with and sharing time with his family - especially his grandchildren.

Private family memorial services will be held. Sager Funeral Home in Beardstown is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be left for the family at www.airsman-hires.com.
