James Edward Lockman
Meredosia - James Edward Lockman, 70, of Meredosia passed away September 17, 2025. He was born, September 28, 1954, in Jacksonville, the son of Howard G. and Marjorie Lucille Cowhick Lockman.
He is survived by two sisters, Mary Sue Cox of Springfield and Barbara (deceased husband, Francis) Cooper of Dunedin, FL, one brother, Richard (Diane) Lockman of Beardstown. James worked as a USDA Meat Inspector until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at the Daws Family Funeral Home in Winchester with interment in the St. Marks Catholic cemetery in Winchester. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Lots of great memories with Jimmy. We started a band together in 8th grade. When we were in grade school would walk up town after school and buy candy at the dime store. One day he would bring a nickel and one day I would bring a nickel. Great times
