Linda Keldermans Obituary

Linda T Keldermans
Virginia - Linda Keldermans died peacefully on Saturday, August 2, 2025.
Linda was the daughter of Ross Thomas and Marilyn Wright Thomas. She was born on December 19, 1949.
Linda was especially close to her grandmother, Nina Wright, and to Monsignor Patrick Wright, who was her uncle and Godfather. Linda graduated from Sacred Heart Academy and attended DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. She graduated from the U of I with a B.A. and an M.A. in English Literature and a second M.A. in Library Science. Linda married the love of her life Karl, in 1969.
She was fluent in Flemish and French and edited a number of Ph. D dissertations. Linda was employed for many years at the SIU School of medicine where she worked in medical ethics and helped write numerous manuals used by surgery, medical ethics and psychiatry. In her younger years she was active in the theatre, notably the Springfield Muni Opera where she was Molly Brown in the Unsinkable Molly Brown.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to Planned Parenthood.
Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.
There will be a Remembrance on Friday, August 15, 2025, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at Butler Funeral Home-Chatham, 8855 State Route 4, Chatham.
