Lisa Marie Hull
Jacksonville - Lisa Marie (Sabolo) Hull, 67, of South Jacksonville passed away on Oct. 8, 2025, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO, after bravely battling cancer for the past ten months. She was born in Staunton, Jan. 16, 1958, the daughter of Michael Sabolo and Delta (Jarman) Sabolo.
Lisa is survived by the love of her life and best friend, husband Richard (Dick) Hull of South Jacksonville, with whom she spent 43 years. Lisa is also survived by her mother, Delta Sabolo of Wood River; two sisters, Michelle (Scott) Winte of Edwardsville and Ricci (Mike) Voorhees of East Alton; two brothers, Mick (Susan) Sabolo of Wood River and Marty Sabolo of South Dakota; two sisters-in-law, Mary Lee (Marty) Shelton of CA and Jennifer (Mike Cully) Hull of Jacksonville; and a brother-in-law, John (Charmin Damm) Hull of Jacksonville.
Lisa was fiercely loved by her nieces and nephews, who will miss her wit and sense of humor. Lisa is survived by Melissa Winte, Steve Winte, Matt Winte, Mychal Voorhees, Jaymie Voorhees, Brandon Sabolo, Mickey Sabolo, Jacob Sabolo, Blake Sabolo, Hannah Fennewald, Michael Cory, Brandon Cory, Amanda Tomhave, and John (Buddy) Hull. Lisa is also survived by many great-nieces and nephews. Lisa is preceded in death by her father, Michael Sabolo, and her mother-in-law, Mary Hull.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
A true animal lover, Lisa often cared for many stray cats. She cherished visits with her neighbors, David and Ramona Joseph, and especially enjoyed time with their dog, JoJo. Her greatest joy was traveling with her husband to the beaches of Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi, and to drag races and car events across the country. Lisa was a 1976 graduate of Roxana High School. She worked for several years at Elliott State Bank in Jacksonville and later in the Office of Student Financial Services at Illinois College, from which she retired in 2022. She loved to raise peonies and share the blooms with friends in the spring. She also loved listening to live music.
Per Lisa's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A visitation will be held Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. with a service to follow at the Daws Family Funeral Home in Jacksonville with interment at 3:00 p.m. in the Murrayville City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Paws in Jacksonville, IL, or the
American Cancer Society.
